How we got here

  1. 2003
    Planet DDS origins

    Planet DDS founded to bring Denticon cloud-based enterprise practice management software to the dental world.

  2. 2005
    First group client

    Northeast Dental Management becomes our first group client and remains a partner to this day. NEDM grew from 5 to nearly 70 locations before joining forces with Dental Care Alliance.

  3. 2006
    Dentiray hits the market

    We launch Dentiray, the first cloud-based imaging capture and storage software on the market.

  4. 2007
    Pioneering patient communications

    We introduce Dentigram, one of the first patient communications solutions in dental.

  5. 2009
    Booking gets simpler

    Denticon receives online patient portal and online patient registration functionality, another first in the cloud. Later in the year, we launched AppointNow, the industry’s first online patient appointment booking module.

  6. 2012
    Web-based imaging

    Apteryx launches a web-based dental imaging solution, accessible anywhere with internet.

  7. 2013
    EHR certification

    Denticon undergoes Electronic Health Record certification, allowing clients to participate in healthcare IT stimulus programs.

    Accelerated growth

    Planet DDS makes OCBJ list of fastest-growing private companies in Orange County, CA. And we’ve been making the list every year since.

    Power User Summit

    We hosted our first annual Power User Summit in Las Vegas, with more summits to come.

    Inc. status

    Planet DDS makes Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

    3D Imaging

    The United States Food and Drug Administration approves the 3D module for XVWeb cloud imaging solution.

    We release Dentilytics, the first reporting tool native to a practice management software.

    We release Advanced Charting in Denticon. We also make the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the U.S… again.
