Why this matters

A platform built for growth.
Now with its own planet.

🪐

Officially on every map

Maps, textbooks, and space agency databases are expected to be updated within 24–36 months, pending standard bureaucratic processes.

❤️

The heart stays

Tombaugh Regio — Pluto’s iconic heart-shaped nitrogen ice plain — will remain unchanged. Leadership noted it’s “actually a pretty good logo shape.”

☁️

Built for the cloud

Planet DDS is, quite literally, all cloud. The synergies with our DentalOS™ platform are, according to the GCNC, undeniable.

🌑

Five moons included

Charon, Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra come with the package. None are currently available for additional sponsorship.

🏆

A first of its kind

The first dwarf planet in the solar system to carry a corporate name. Our competitors have logos. We have an astronomical body.

🦷

Still a dental company

Denticon and Cloud 9 are still very much a thing. This is in addition to that. We’ve been busy.

Pluto’s been waiting 20 years for a comeback. We’re happy to make that happen. We’re putting Planet DDS on the map. All of the maps.

How we got here

The road to renaming a planet.

🚀

2003

Planet DDS is founded

A small team in California decides to fix dental software. Nobody believed it was possible. Sound familiar?

💔

2006

Pluto is demoted

The International Astronomical Union reclassifies Pluto as a dwarf planet. The most controversial decision in modern science. We took notes.

📈

2024–2026

18 months of negotiations

Our legal and partnerships team spent a year and a half working with the Global Celestial Nomenclature Commission. No comment on whether this was the best use of their time.

It’s official

The GCNC signs. The dwarf planet formerly known as Pluto is now Planet DDS. We are, spiritually, 3.67 billion miles from the sun.

Out of this world dental software… Literally.

Denticon and Cloud 9 power dental’s most ambitious DSOs. On Earth and, as of this week, beyond.

Planet DDS is a software company. Pluto is now known as Planet DDS. One of these statements is true. Other one is an April Fool’s joke.
