Some people put off a visit to the dentist, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, have you ever heard of someone crashing their car into the dental office itself?
That’s exactly what happened not too far from our main corporate office last month here in Southern California, where a seemingly implausible accident left a car lodged in the second story of a local practice. Footage posted by TIME Magazine captures the incident on both a city bus dash cam and a security camera.
The video shows a Nissan sedan traveling at excessive speeds moments before it clipped the median, launching 60 feet into the air before landing squarely into the second story of an office building housing 17th Street Dental in Santa Ana, California.
An articlein the New York Times reports the accident took place on Sunday morning, January 14, 2018 at 5:25am. Fortunately, the dental office was closed at the time and the driver and passenger sustained only minor injuries. A spokesman for the local authorities said that the driver admitted to being under the influence of drugs during the accident and will be charged accordingly.
Although the office was damaged and probably had to close for repairs, it gained some viral publicity for being the scene of a most unlikely accident.
