Understanding the Cloud Makes Businesses Want It
As more dentists become familiar with cloud computing, the more they are understanding the financial and efficiency benefits that the technology and online dental software provide.
According to a survey by Bluetext, 70 percent of IT leaders that are knowledgeable about the cloud have considered implementing cloud-based services to save money and increase efficiency. The survey polled 150 state and local government IT influencers throughout the United States. It found that more than 90 percent of respondents would be more interested in the cloud if they understood how it would benefit the organization.
"Government IT leaders see the significant benefits of implementing cloud solutions, including saving money, if they are familiar with it," said Don Goldberg of Bluetext. "But there's some educating that needs to be done for the others."
More than one-third of respondents claimed that they were struggling to understand the benefits of the cloud, while slightly less than half were unsure how to get started. Additionally, only 43 percent of decision-makers who were less familiar with the cloud said they considered implementing it to save money.
According to MarketsandMarkets, the global cloud computing market will exceed $121 billion in revenues by 2015. This suggests that more companies will make attempts to become familiar with the technology in order to experience its advantages.
