Cloud, Mobile Combination May Improve Businesses

The mobile device and cloud computing markets are both becoming more popular, and, increasingly, the two are becoming closely intertwined. However, as this trend occurs, some issues should be addressed and developed further, according to Risk Blaisdell, an IT professional.

In a recent Cloud Tweaks report, Blaisdell noted that both technologies grant the user access to information remotely (including cloud based dental software), although carrying a mobile device can be more convenient than lugging around a computer. With this in mind, many mobile users can benefit from using the cloud while they are traveling or working from home, Blaisdell said.

Blaisdell also asserted that if mobile technology providers would allow users to switch between operating systems no matter what device they are using, life could be simpler for the consumer. Not only would this expand sales in the mobile device market, but it would also allow developers to focus on creating more advanced devices, he continued.

According to Gartner, 50 percent of a company's web sales will be generated through its social presence and mobile applications. This demonstrates the growing anticipation of the mobile market, and when combined with cloud computing, an organization can become more productive in remote areas.
